When I was a little girl growing up on the beautiful island of St.Lucia, I literally hated my name. It seemed to me that everyone had difficulty pronouncing it and an even harder time remembering it. My Grandpa called me Andea, friends and family settled for Yandi, and throughout my teenage years I was known as Dee.  Some time after I had Micah, my second child I read an amazing article on the power and importance of our name(s). I knew that names were important because I took naming my children very seriously. However, I never understood the importance of the energy which accompanied the name(s) that are attached to us from birth. Little did I know that in researching my own names I would embark on a journey of self discovery and self love.  After much research and reflection I was able to lovingly accept my name and embrace the idea of fulfilling it's meaning.

I always wanted to be someone who would affect the world in a positive way..preferably on a large scale. Somewhere between my departure from organized religion and the formation of my band HaiYah Movement, I began to refer to myself as an "Ascension Assister". I take great joy in helping others soar to a higher level mentally, physically, financially and spiritually. It is not my desire to have anyone do exactly what I did or to become any ones guru.  But like my name suggests, my purpose is to let my light shine for those who choose to see it. It shines not for anyone to follow my path, but rather as an aid in helping them find their own path.
